Description
1 Scope
1.1 General
1.1.1 This Standard covers solid waste containment interceptors intended for commercial and residential applications and specifies requirements for materials, physical characteristics, performance testing, and markings.
1.1.2 Solid waste containment interceptors covered by this standard include trap interceptors and non‐trap interceptors of various configurations (see Figures 1 and 2). Examples of some, but not
all, solid waste containment interceptor applications include dental offices, medical offices, laundry applications and testing laboratories.
