1 Scope
1.1 Scope
1.1.1 This Standard covers mechanical thermostatic balancing valves for hot water distribution intended commercial and residential applications and specifies requirements for materials, physical characteristics, performance testing, and markings.
1.1.2 This Standard covers mechanical thermostatic balancing valves and does not cover any other balancing valves that require calibration (i.e., via pressure drop calibration or throttling).
