1 Scope
1.1 General
1.1.1 This Standard covers water‐powered sump pumps intended to provide emergency or backup groundwater or storm water removal from buildings in the event of power failure and specifies requirements for materials, physical characteristics, performance testing, and markings.
1.1.2 Water‐powered sump pumps covered by this Standard are not intended for the removal of sanitary sewer water (sewage).
