Polyethylene Sleeved-Corrugated Stainless-Steel Tubing for use in Fuel Gas Piping Systems
1 Scope
1.1 General
1.1.1 This Standard covers polyethylene sleeved‐corrugated stainless‐steel tubing (PE‐CSST) intended for use in fuel gas piping systems and specifies requirements for materials, physical characteristics, performance testing, and markings.
1.1.2 The polyethylene sleeved‐corrugated stainless‐steel tubing (PE‐CSST) covered by this standard are for use
(a) when an encasement or double containment of the fuel gas piping system is desired; and,
(b) in compliance with the Plumbing Code for applications above ground, buried and underground beneath buildings for connections of meters, appliances, and other equipment.
