Description

The 2010 Edition of the California Mechanical Code© (CMC) contains mechanical design and construction standards. Provisions contained in the CMC provide minimum standards to safeguard life or limb, health, property and public welfare by regulating and controlling the design, construction, installation, quality of materials, location, operation, and maintenance or use of heating, ventilating, cooling, refrigeration systems, incinerators and other miscellaneous heat-producing appliances. This code is pre-assembled with the 2009 Edition of the Uniform Mechanical Code© with necessary California amendments into a convenient, bookmarked CD.

The provisions and standards of the CMC are fully indexed/bookmarked, hyperlinked, searchable, and available with the click of a mouse. No more bulky books and torn or missing pages. •    New references to “SMACNA/ANSI 006-2006 HVAC Duct Construction Standards-Metal and Flexible” for constructing ductwork
•    References to the California Building Code for occupancy classification
•    Specific requirements for exhaust ventilation in enclosed parking garages
•    Reassigned Chapter 1 of the UMC (previously located in the appendices) to Division II of Chapter 1 in the CMC
